Bakti Desa 3'2020
Bakti Desa is an event held by SMAN 3 Bandung. This event requires every 11th grade student to go to a village and serving the village for several days. This year, the event held in Cibeureum village, Kertasari, Bandung district. This event is held on January 3rd to 5th 2019.
On the frist day, we first gathered at SMAN 3&5 Bandung corridor. After that, we left by angkot. We arrived at Cibeureum about 9am. After we arrived, we gathered at Cibeureum village meeting hall. we watched the opening of the activity and the handover of the bakdes participants from the school to the sub-district / village officials, followed by a technical explanation by the village committee. then we had lunch together. after that, we headed to the home of a determined foster parent. Me and my friend, yasmin, was placed in Mrs Diah house. Mrs Diah and the family welcomed us very warmly. They're really kind and pleased us to take a break. This village has many advantages in various fields, one of which is in the agricultural sector. the yield of the farm has very good quality. after resting we helped our foster parents do their work. After that we went home to clean our body and have a dinner together and then we pray.
On the second day, we wake up at 4 o'clock in the morning. the dawn air in the village of cibeureum was very cold. even though we were wearing thick clothes. we are getting ready to carry out the morning prayer in congregation. after that we help our foster parents do their jobs again. when it's finished, we have the rest of the time and spend it traveling around the village. This village is very cold even if it's afternoon. We met our other friends, their houses pretty far from us. When it's come to evening, we back to our home and clean our body after that we have dinner together. The eldest children in the family, was a mosque youth. So we follow her to the mosque and join the recitation. After that we go home and take a sleep.
On the third day, whiches our last day, we help the eldest children in the family in her job. She's a kindergarden teacher. We enjoy our time playing with the children and we teach them how to read iqra. After that, we spent our time to visit our friends in another block. It's a little bit far from our place. When we arrived, we saw them helping their foster parents grow crops. And then we join them too. In the afternoon, we attended a seminar held at the lurah office. the seminar was about good farming methods. there is also a promotion from a technology-developing company. they have developed technology for farming that is far more effective and efficient. the price of the product is very expensive, of course. after that we need to said goodbye to our foster parents. very sad to part with them. In these past 3 days I feel very close to them. they look after me like their own child. I love them very much. Cibereum always have a place in my heart
